N&C Glass were called upon to supply 170m2 of 18mm Pilkington Pyrostop fire resistant glass at the Peter House Dementia Care Unit, regarded as the UK's first Super Care Home.
N&C Fire Glass was the ideal option for Peter House Dementia Care Unit for added safety because in the event of a fire, N&C Fire Glass would ensure that the glass stayed intact for a minimum of 60 minutes even when the fire is at is most aggressive. Furthermore the glass also controls the amount of heat passing through it allowing a controlled environment for people to vacate the building safely.
Fire glass literally saves lives and at N&C we have been supplying this highly technical glass into many projects for over 20 years. Fire glass has been supplied by N&C into similar key projects including the £550m Queen Elisabeth Hospital in Birmingham, Barts Hospital redevelopment in London and £430m Southmead Hospital in Bristol
